Accommodation Type: TentWe recently stayed at Brusand Camping with our small children. The campsite itself is great: well-maintained, clean facilities, and a beautiful location close to the beach. Nothing to complain about in terms of infrastructure.

However, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by how the situation was handled when we had to leave early due to incoming bad weather. We had booked and paid for 3 nights, but decided to leave after the first night because packing up in heavy rain with little kids would have been very difficult.

We politely asked the owner if there was any understanding or flexibility possible — not necessarily a full refund, but at least some consideration of the situation. We fully understand that last-minute changes can be inconvenient for the campsite too, and we were willing to accept paying more than just one night. But there was absolutely no empathy or willingness to talk. The only response we got was: “You booked 3 nights, so you pay for 3 nights.”

When we ended the conversation by saying “Have a nice day,” the owner replied: “I am having a great day — I run a successful business.” That kind of arrogance, especially when someone is asking for help in a reasonable tone, was both surprising and disappointing.

The camping itself may be a lovely place, but experiences like these can discourage people from returning or recommending it. Hospitality is about more than location and facilities — it’s also about how you treat people, especially in moments where a bit of empathy makes all the difference.

Accommodation Type: Campervanauto-translated: The facility is well maintained, but the fact that you have to pay extra for all services makes you feel unwelcome. You even have to pay extra for hot water for washing dishes and using the stove in the communal kitchen. I've never experienced this anywhere else. The campsites are also located directly along a small road that is heavily used by all campers and staff, so you don't get much peace and quiet. In this case, the service does not justify the price.
