Mikkelparken Ferietun - Reviews

The site is in a lovely spot by the fjord, surrounded by mountains. There are plenty of clean toilet and shower facilities, a large, well-equipped and well-maintained kitchen, washing machines and tumble dryers, a playground, mini-golf, a heated pool that can be used even when it’s raining, plenty of hiking opportunities nearby (e.g. Husedalen), shops within walking distance, an amusement park opposite (part of the site, but quite expensive), Wi-Fi, a shop/kiosk on the premises, a pizzeria, and there are also lovely cabins and glamping tents available to rent.
In peak season, however, most pitches – particularly those with a view of the fjord – are booked up well in advance, and the prices are quite steep. 460 NOK (right on the E13) – 857 NOK (with a view) per night – an additional 95 NOK applies if you book a specific pitch in advance. Electricity, Wi-Fi and showers included; washing costs 69 NOK, drying costs another 69 NOK. Fresh water, grey water and a machine for cleaning the toilet cassette are available.
Although the facilities on and around the site are great, we would choose a different site next time during the peak season.

We hadn’t booked in advance. There were still plenty of pitches available, despite it being the weekend.
We were immediately offered a pitch by the water, overlooking the fjord. At first, we were delighted that there were still pitches available there in the late afternoon. However, we had a rude awakening when we heard the price: 845 NOK for a motorhome (2 people), including electricity and a shower.
Although the campsite has a lot to offer, the price is a bit on the high side.
As it was already late, we opted for a pitch in the back row by the road for 460 NOK. It was fine for us and a bit quieter too.
Otherwise, it’s a great campsite for those who like that sort of thing.

auto-translated: Very nicely located campsite next to an aqua-fun amusement park. The park is somehow part of the campsite, but you have to pay the entrance fee of 39,-€ per person extra. We had a place directly on the street and opposite the park. The street and the air conditioning of the restaurant from the park has disturbed a bit. The places further down the lake are quieter, but were already reserved , although we have already checked in the morning. At the campground there is a great playground and a nice pool. We would definitely come again!

auto-translated: Camping area next to amusement park, so many parents with small children in the cabins. A bit too busy for us, but everything is very well organized. And a warm pool where our teenagers had a nice swim on a rainy day.
