This is an absolute hidden gem. The view from cabin 1 is guaranteed to make you go “wow”! You’d expect to pay big money for a place like this, but it’s pretty cheap. 650 NOK for a single night and if you stay halve a week you can get a discount. Even 650NOK is cheap for a place like this, which has everything you need.

Don’t expect modern interior though. It’s pretty dated but everything works. Cozy 2 person bed, a working shower and some old furniture. But who cares with such a view. It’s a very good location if you’re into hiking, as it’s located between many nice trails. But you’ll need a car to get around.

There is 1 downside, which are the occasional tourists walking around the cabin who come to enjoy the view as well. Some people may not respect your privacy as much as you like. We only noticed people coming around 6-7pm (we were out the rest of the day).

The lady that owns the place is very sweet and helpful. There is a restaurant (owned by the same people), which is pretty much a self-service restaurant. Very simple but VERY good price/quality, just like the cabins.
It’s a family owned business.

If you’re an experienced hiker, check out the “Kåpevatnet” trail (10.3km). It’s kinda harsh but so beautiful and almost nobody there.
There is a skilift near, which is pretty expensive (550NOK p/p). The hike (7.9km) was OK. There is a restaurant on top with nice food though ;)
