A really pleasant surprise. The campsite was clean, with a friendly reception and spaciously laid out, especially for tents. Might be a bit tough when it gets crowded, but at the end of August it was perfect. Alongside the campsite is the epic fort of Fredriksten, which is definitely worth a look around. Only downside as a bikepacker: a very steep 300ft climb to get to the campsite. Killer after a long day.
