Volcano Huts Þórsmörk

Volcano Huts are located in the Húsadalur valley in Þórsmörk. Accommodation within Þórsmörk Nature Reserve provides easy access to some of the best hiking trails in Iceland. Getting here is part of the adventure and is ONLY possible by special regional buses, 4x4 super jeep transport (modified vehicles) for an additional charge, or on foot. All cottages have a kitchenette, a seating area and a private terrace. All accommodation options have shared toilets. The shared showers are in a service building next to the main house. Hiking to the property is also an option, as the Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls hiking trails lead here. On-site facilities include a sauna. Reykjavik is about 81 mi away. Lava Grill Restaurant & Bar serves a menu of Icelandic cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tea, coffee and snacks are offered throughout the day. Staff are happy to help arrange jeep safaris and other activities. Daily yoga and guided hikes are available.
