Campingplatz Colditz - Reviews

We were charged €21.50, which represented good value. The campsite is in glorious surroundings and has very good leisure options. As well as many walking routes, the town of Colditz is only 2km away - and I heartily recommend the castle, famous for providing a home for a multi-national group of prisoners of war in WW2. We spent a whole afternoon roaming its rooms and staircases.
The site is very quiet and spacious, with a campers' shelter and benches. The showers and washing facilities were good. The only points I would knock off are for the €1 charge for 3.5 minutes of time in the shower (it takes 30 secs for the water to heat up) and the outdated washing up facilties which need replacing.
